It is a broadly described annual report of Ashok Leyland in the year of 2011-2012. Net Current Assets as at 31st March 2012 was Rs. 4,304 Crore compared with previous year level of Rs. 3,984 Crore. The Net sales for the year at Rs. 12,841.99 million, has increased by 14.90% as compared to previous year. The Company posted Profit before Tax (PBT) for the year was Rs. 68,997.66 Crores. After providing for taxes at Rs. 124 Crore including deferred Results of Operations tax, Profit after tax for the current year is Rs. 566 Crore. The earnings per share decreased by 10% from Rs. 2.37 in 2010-11 to Rs. 2.13 in the year under review.
The Board of Directors of the Company has recommended a dividend of @100% (Rs. 1/- per equity share) for the year ended 31st March 2012.
