It is a broadly described annual report of Exim Bank Limited in the year of 2008. As on 31st December 2008 total deposit of the Bank stood at Tk. 57,586.99 million showing a growth rate of 38.61%, and the total amount of investment (general) of the Bank stood at Tk. 53,637.68 million with a growth rate of 33.44%. The Bank recorded an operating profit of Tk. 2,518.39 million which is 31.98% higher than that of 2007. The total Income and expenditure of the Bank were Tk. 8,356.82 million and Tk. 5,838.43 million respectively during the period under review.
The Board of Directors of the Bank recommended the stock dividend @ 26% as bonus share for the year ended 31st December 2008 subject to the approval of the 10th Annual General Meeting of the Company. These financial statements are presented in Bangladesh Taka (Taka/Tk/BDT) which is the company’s functional currency. All financial information presented in Taka has been rounded off to the nearest Taka.
