It is a broadly described annual report of Exim Bank Limited in the year of 2007. During the financial year, The Bank scored an operating profit of Tk. 2,050.00 million which is 45% higher than that of 2006. As on 31st December 2007 total deposit of the Bank stood at Tk. 41,546.57 million showing a growth rate of 18.60%, the total amount of Investment of the Bank stood at Tk. 40,195.24 million with a growth rate of 23.14%. The Bank has successfully earned a pre-tax profit of Tk. 1,618.80 million registering an annual growth of 34.96% than that of the previous year. Foreign Remittance of the Bank stood at Tk. 710.32 million as of 31st December 2007 as against Tk. 343.78 million in 2006.
The Board of Directors of the Bank recommended the stock dividend @ 25% as bonus share and cash dividend @ 7% per share of Tk. 100.00 each for the year ended 31st December 2007 subject to the approval of the 9th Annual General Meeting of the Company. These financial statements are presented in Bangladesh Taka (Taka/Tk/BDT) which is the company’s functional currency. All financial information presented in Taka has been rounded off to the nearest Taka.
