An Evening on the Beach

An Evening on the Beach

Summer is the ideal season for people to visit and take in the breathtaking scenery along the coast. Furthermore, the feelings and experiences felt at the beach during the summer are always fantastic. Several scenes and experiences can be seen and felt at the beach during the summer. These include the plantation along the beach and inside the sea, the animals, the waters, and the people found on the beach.

As night fell, the setting sun’s red rays lit up the sky above the western horizon, and I could see an oil tanker making its way across the sea just on the horizon. Soon the sun disappeared below the horizon and the sky turned dark but my two friends and I sat on the beach dazing at the place where the sun went down, Sunsets are mesmerizing as we discovered. Only when the mosquitoes started coming in great numbers were, we brought back to reality.

We stood up and walked over to a small pile of wood that we had created earlier. We could only see shadows in the dark. Francis, one of my friends, had a torchlight. He activated it to show the way. The night creatures were already preoccupied with their tasks. I could hear the shrill cries of cicadas and other insects on our left, where the land was. The waves broke gently on the shore to our right, sending up sprays of phosphorescent surf.

The sounds and sights of nature were breathtaking. The only blemish on the otherwise perfect natural surroundings was the sound of passing traffic on a nearby road. We were possibly the only other blemishes. We had a torchlight on and were about to light a bonfire.

Nonetheless, I proceeded to pour some kerosene onto the pile of wood and light a match to it. The flames grew slowly but steadily. We were soon basking in the orange glow of the bonfire. Salleh, my other friend, brought out the snacks and drinks from a bag. We’d come to the beach to unwind and have fun.

A bonfire can be mesmerizing too and so we spent a good two hours eating, drinking, talking and singing around it. A number of people appeared and we invited them to share in our little revelry. We did not know any of them, but it did not matter AU knew was that we enjoyed ourselves in the warm glow of the bonfire which was a far cry from the cold stares of people on an ordinary street. However, all good things must come to an end. The fire slowly died down and darkness regained its mastery. We said goodbye to our visitors and cleaned up the fireplace.

Then we walked along the beach to where Salleh had parked his car a short distance away. Crabs, both large and small, scurried away as we approached. A gentle breeze rustled among the coconut palms. The black sky was filled with gleaming stars. It felt good to be alive.

The deep waters of the sea provide a breathtaking view for anyone who looks out at the sea. On the shore, water is slowly running out. Small waves are also seen crashing on the shoreline. The sea’s surface appears blue in color.

However, some areas are seen to have the spectrum caused by the sun’s refracted rays. There are high waves deep within the sea that lift boats up and down dramatically. The clear and blue shimmering waves of the sea reflect the hot sun’s rays. The cool breeze that comes from the seawaters is pleasant. Finally, we arrived at the car. We threw our belongings in the trunk and drove ourselves. Salleh started the car, and we were soon on our way home after a wonderful evening on the beach.
