The third generation (3G) cellular systems were developed with the purpose of offering high speed files and multimedia connectivity in order to subscribers. The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) provides standard known as, IMT-2000 (International Mobile Tele commmunications-2000 for 3G systems or devices. This lecture also briefly explain Core Network (CN). The Core Network is divided in circuit switched and packet switched domains.
