Behavioral neuroscience as being a scientific discipline emerged from a number of scientific and philosophical traditions from the 18th and nineteenth centuries. Behavioral neuroscience, also referred to as biological psychology, is use of the principles of biology for the study of bodily, genetic, and developmental mechanisms of behavior in humans and also other animals.
