Workforce Management focus include scheduling employees work hours, planning work responsibilities and duties, working as a team, and tracking results of the work efforts. It involves matching employee skills to specific tasks over time, quantifying the amount and types of labor needed to accomplish particular jobs on a day-to-day or hour-to-hour basis. It also provides a common set of performance-based tools to support corporate management, front-line supervisors, store managers and workers across manufacturing, distribution, transportation, and retail operations. Workforce management also called employee relationship management.
