Looking at a muddy gullet in Ambergris, you wouldn’t think that finding this kind of beachcombing would be so valuable, however, as a fishing crew in Yemen recently discovered, it’s like floating gold. They are bobbing in a 127-kilogram (280-pound) mega-lustful sea spot after returning to shore with their rare catch, it estimated at about $1.5 million dollars – not bad, somewhat whale goo. So, what is ambergris? In addition, why is it so valuable? Ambergris is a product specifically for sperm whales (Physeter macrocephalus) that enjoys feeding on squid. Much of the squid is soft and tasty but whales can rearrange hard bekes, which cannot digest.
Sometimes, these hard parts can accumulate in the intestines and this protects the whale’s intestines from injury because of the formation of ambergris. Where Ambergris is going is not entirely clear. Some think that ambergris can restore the whale’s digestive system and that the whale’s sick left in the sea like a big ball. However, it is also possible that the (sometimes-abundant) lobster exits the other end of the whale, like a large ball of wax whale pop.

Oops. In the latter case, the wild ambergris blob may eventually release as it decomposes from the whale carcass. That said, less than five percent of whale carcasses alone have found.

One of the easiest ways to collect a shoot of ambergris among others is the smell of less valuable, anonymous beach blobs. It starts out in a coarse shape, smells like a lot, but later said to turn into a pungent odor. It may not sound great but it is extremely enticing by the fancy perfume companies. Not all whales created equal, but pure white varieties are the most valuable in the perfume industry. Ambergris can be gray, brown and black, but it has the least amount of embryonic because it is the least valuable. The quality affected by oxidation, something that happens when a large ole ‘whale’s inner juice bob stays in the ocean for a long time.
