The aim of this lecture is to present on Weather Instruments. A Thermometermeasures air temperature. A Thermometer works because matter expands when heated. Most thermometers are closed glass tubes containing liquids such as alcohol. A Barometermeasures air pressure. A Psychrometer measures relative humidity. An Anemometer measures wind speed. A Windsockis used at airports to indicate wind direction for takeoffs and landings.
