Wave propagation is the ways in which waves travel. With respect to the direction of the oscillation in accordance with the propagation direction, we can identify between longitudinal wave and transverse ocean. For electromagnetic ocean, propagation may occur in a vacuum in addition to in a materials medium. Other wave kinds cannot propagate by having a vacuum and require a transmission medium to exist.
