Urban consolidation is the term for a diverse set of planning policies designed to make better by using existing urban national infrastructure by encouraging development within existing urbanised areas as an alternative to on non-urbanised territory, thus limiting elegant sprawl. It is this building of increased density housing in existing parts of a city to be able to increase population density.
