Propagation delay is usually a technical term that can have a different meaning depending on the context. It can relate to networking, electronics or maybe physics. In general it is how much time taken for the amount of interest to achieve its destination. Within computer networks, propagation delay is the amount of time it takes with the head of the signal to visit from the sender towards the receiver.
