Permission marketing is an approach to selling goods and services where a prospect explicitly agrees ahead of time to receive marketing and advertising information. Permission marketing is the opposite of being interrupted marketing; instead of interrupting the consumer with unrequested details, permission marketing aims to market goods and services not until the prospect gives consent ahead of time to receive the particular marketing information.
