Lipids are a small grouping of naturally occurring molecules that is included in fats, waxes, sterols, fat-soluble supplements, monoglycerides, diglycerides, triglycerides, phospholipids, among others. The main neurological functions of lipids include storing electricity, signaling, and acting as structural components of cell membranes. Lipids have applications inside cosmetic and food industries and also in nanotechnology.
