Basic purpose of this lecture is to present on Infrared Light. Infrared (IR) is a form of light (or electromagnetic radiation). Infrared light is found between visible light and radio waves and Wavelengths extending from 1 to 200 mm (microns). A micron is one-millionth of a meter, and is abbreviated as µm. Infrared radiation is a type of electromagnetic radiation, as are radio waves, ultraviolet radiation, X-rays and microwaves.
