ITC is the successor of International Trade Centre, which the general Agreement on Charges and Trade (GATT) set up in 1964. The International Trade Centre and also the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and offers trade-related technical help. Whereas the WTO mainly deals with the rules involving international trade as well as UNCTAD with analysis and advocacy, ITC’s mandate is much more narrow as it really is solely concerned with helping developing as well as transition economies in promoting their exports.
