Main objective of this lecture is to present on English Grammar Rule: Clause and Phrase. A clause is a group of words that has both a subject and a predicate. An independent clause can stand on its own as a sentence. Examples: She is hungry; I am feeling well today etc. A phrase is a group or words that express a concept and is used as a unit within a sentence. Eight common types of phrases are: noun, verb, gerund, infinitive, appositive, participial, prepositional, and absolute.
