Electrocardiography

Electrocardiography (EC is the process of creating the electrical activity in the heart over a short time using electrodes placed on a patient’s physique. Reasons for performing electrocardiography include: Suspected heart attack, Suspected pulmonary embolism, Perceived cardiac dysrhythmias, Fainting or collapse, Seizures etc. These electrodes detect the little electrical changes on the skin that arise from the heart muscle depolarizing during every heartbeat.
