Inside medicine, a differential diagnosis would be the distinguishing of a certain disease or situation from others that present similar signs or symptoms. Differential diagnostic procedures are used by physicians as well as other trained medical experts to diagnose the specific disease in someone, or, at very least, to eliminate just about any imminently life-threatening problems.
