Trade barriers elude fixed classifications, but may be broadly understood to be government laws, regulations, guidelines, or practices that either protect domestic goods and also services from foreign competitors, artificially stimulate exports regarding particular domestic goods in addition to services, or fail to provide adequate and effective security of intellectual property rights.
