Deeply borehole disposal seeks to put the waste approximately five kilometers beneath the top of Earth and relies primarily for the thickness of the particular natural geological buffer to safely separate the waste through the biosphere for an exceptionally long time period so that it should not pose a threat to man and the environment. Deep borehole disposal is the concept of disposing of high-level radioactive throw away from nuclear reactors inside extremely deep boreholes.
