Critical Chain Project Management is a method, which comes into force after the initial Project Schedule is prepared, which includes establishment of the task dependencies. It was developed and publicized by Dr. Eliyahu M. Goldratt in 1997. It differs from more traditional methods that derive from critical path and PERT algorithms, which emphasize task order and rigid scheduling. Critical Path Project Management defines three types of Buffers – (1)Project Buffer, (2)Feeding Buffer and (3)Resource Buffer.
