Consensus Decision Making is an alternative to commonly practiced non-collaborative decision making processes. It is a process for groups to generate widespread agreement in a way that respects the contributions of all participants. Consensus Decision Makin does not emphasize the goal of full agreement. It attempts to address the beliefs of such problems. It is also an alternative to “top-down” decision making, commonly practiced in hierarchical groups.
