Cognitive Style is a term used in cognitive psychology, which is made up of the information processing methods of an individual. It differs from cognitive ability or level, the latter being measured by aptitude tests or so-called intelligence tests. It is not focused on the specific decisions that a person makes but the mental processes that are used to make the decisions. Cognitive Style is a single or multiple dimension of human personality. It also remains a key concept in the areas of education and management.
