Annual Report 2006 of National Bank of Pakistan

The Bank’s Paid-up Capital increased to Rs. 7.090 billion. The Bank’s Authorized Capital from Rs. 7.5 Billion (divided into 750 Million Ordinary Shares of Rs. 10/- each) to Rs. 10 Billion (divided into 1,000 Million Ordinary Shares of Rs. 10/- each). The Pre-tax profit increased to Rs. 26.3 billion, an increase of 37% over last year. Earnings per share jumped by over 37% from Rs. 17.92 in 2005 to Rs. 24.01 in 2006.

The Board of Directors of the Bank has recommended a Cash Dividend @40% and Bonus Shares @15% for the year ended 31^st December 2006.
