This is a lecture paper on AIS Data and Databases. Data is a collection of facts, such as values or measurements & A database is a collection of information that is organized so that it can easily be accessed, managed, and updated. In one view, databases can be classified according to types of content: bibliographic, full-text, numeric, and images. Data are the set of facts collected from transactions, whereas information is the interpretation of data that have been processed.
