Vehicular homicide is an offense that, in common, involves the death of an individual other than the driver as a result of either criminally negligent or murderous operation of a vehicle. The former case and the more common conviction of unintentional vehicular homicide are recognized as vehicular manslaughter. It is similar to the offense of hazardous driving causing death in some countries.
