A 2.5K Camera and Speakers are included Inside The MINISFORUM MC560 tiny PC for Online Conferencing

Compact desktop PCs from Chinese PC manufacturer MINISFORUM range in price from inexpensive units intended for basic home or office use to higher-spec machines that can be used for gaming or content creation, among other things.

However, the incoming MINISFORUM Mars MC560 is a little bit unique. It fits the components of a respectable laptop into a compact desktop computer, as many of the company’s small computers do. But this particular model has a built-in webcam, dual speakers, and dual microphones because it is intended for video conferencing.

The computer has dimensions of 4.2″ wide by 2.7″ long by 6″ high. That makes it higher than many tiny PCs, but the added height allows the system to include features like built-in stereo speakers. Additionally, it slightly raises the webcam.

That webcam has a 93.8-degree field of view, 2.5K resolution, and HDR capability. The press release from MINISFORUM also promises a “10° tilt change,” although the business doesn’t specify if this is achieved by cropping the image or whether the camera itself can tilt.

Even while MINISFORUM claims the camera is superior to those found on many computers, it can only record 2.5K video at a maximum frame rate of 30 frames per second. Therefore, you might still be better off purchasing a different computer and connecting a third-party webcam and speakers if you want 4K and/or 60 frames per second or higher.

The fact that everything is built in, however, is kind of cool.

According to MINISFORUM, the computer features two microphones that enable beam-forming technology, enabling them to take up audio from just about everything in front of the computer while using noise reduction to highlight speech.

According to MINISFORUM, the computer can support up to two 4K screens and is powered by a 15-watt AMD Ryzen 5 5600U 6-core, 12-thread processor with Radeon RX Vega 7 graphics.

A set of connectors are available on the back and sides, including two SODIMM slots that can accommodate up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 memory, an M.2 socket for PCIe 3.0 NVMe SSD storage, WiFi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2 support.
