Transcendental Anatomy

Transcendental anatomy is a variety of comparative anatomy that sought to uncover ideal patterns as well as structures common to all organisms in characteristics. Transcendental anatomy wouldn’t require the action of any Creator, but its emphasis on the grandeur as well as unity of Character tended to interest those with some sort of religious, or at least mystical view of the world for the search for a “ideal” structural program.
