Sports are good physical exercises and no one can keep good health without sports. Among various types of sports, outdoor sports like cricket and football are very popular and exciting. Nowadays, these two have become very popular forms of entertainment. Sports require quick movement of the limbs. This helps in blood circulation and makes the body strong and healthy. Sports have certain rules which the participants have to obey. In fact, through games and sports, people learn discipline which is very important in practical life. In games and sports, players have to follow different forms of discipline which help them become disciplined. Sports also develop our social skills as we interact with our opponents as well as the teammates. In fact, sports are beneficial in many different ways. I am a student and I like to take part in sports. Among all the sports, I like cricket best. I play cricket every afternoon. Games and sports teach us how to accept both defeat and victory with the calmness of mind. Being involved in sports activities benefits a person in many ways. It does not provide only physical strength however it increases mental power too. Outdoor sports such as football, cricket, volleyball, hockey, running, etc helps in improving physical health and mental fitness. However, some indoor games and sports like brain games, chess, Sudoku; etc improves mental power and concentration level. Sports give us opportunities to meet many people. The sports venue becomes a meeting place for people from different countries. When the people of different nations get together on the occasion of an international sporting event, they come closer to one another, sharing views, opinions, and friendship. So we learn to socialize and strengthen international brotherhood through games and sports.
