Temperate climates are those without extremes of temperature and precipitation. The changes between summer and wintertime are invigorating without being frustratingly extreme. There are two types of temperate climate: historic and continental. Temperate climate also broadly includes subtropical climate versions: subtropical semidesert/desert, humid subtropical, oceanic subtropical along with Mediterranean climate.
