Statistical mechanics is a branch of material science that applies likelihood hypothesis to the investigation of the thermodynamic conduct of frameworks made out of a substantial number of particles. The established perspective of the universe was that its major laws are mechanical in nature, and that every physical framework are in this way administered by mechanical laws at a tiny level.
