This article focus on Spamming, which is flooding the Internet with many copies of the same message, in an attempt to force the message on people who would not otherwise choose to receive it. It is roughly equivalent to unsolicited telephone marketing calls except that the user pays for part of the message since everyone shares the cost of maintaining the Internet. Spamming remains economically viable because advertisers have no operating costs beyond the management of their mailing lists, servers, infrastructures, IP ranges, and domain names, and it is difficult to hold senders accountable for their mass mailings.
