Nature is full of many useful and important wealth. The tree is one of the most useful and important elements of Nature. It is one of the best friends of men, animals, and birds. A tree keeps the environment and climate of an area balanced and sound. We cannot do even a day without the blessings of trees. So it is our bounden duty to plant more trees and take care of them properly. Tree plantation means planting more and more trees around our houses, highways, rail lines, offices, and roads.
The fresh air we breathe, the beauty of nature that we enjoy shows us the importance of tree plantation. The trees provide us our life’s two basic need i.e., food and oxygen. During photosynthesis, trees generate enough oxygen that helps both humans and animals to survive. They provide us with food; wood, fresh air, and they also provide shelter to animals and birds. As a result, our basic needs are fulfilled by the trees and we are totally dependent on them and this dependence helps us realize the importance of tree plantation. As we have more trees, we will rich to fulfill our needs.
Trees provide a multitude of benefits, both long and short term. As well as being attractive aesthetically, they remove and store carbon from the atmosphere, slow heavy rain and so reduce the risk of flooding, enhance air quality and improve the urban heat island effect by reflecting sunlight and providing shade. In addition, the physical weight of a tree consists of approximately 50% carbon; as such trees have a strong climate change mitigation effect when in high enough numbers. Some of these benefits such as the mitigation of the urban heat island effect and improvements to air quality are localized and will bring the most benefits to the people who live and otherwise spend their time in the local area. Other benefits such as the removal of carbon from the atmosphere will benefit the wider population, not just those who live the most locally.
Trees greatly benefit the people living around them by having a positive impact on mental health and wellbeing, reducing stress, and encouraging outdoor exercise. This is in addition to the benefits they will receive from improved environmental quality and improved amenity which comes with planted areas.
People are already facing the disasters resulting directly from the ecological imbalance prevailing in our country. In order to maintain the healthy balance of ecology, a country needs forest on the 25% area of its total land. But in our country, the total forest area is much below the required level. Even the remaining forest area is being depleted by a man so fast that Bangladesh has been affected the worst by natural calamity. Our country almost every year falls victim to natural disasters like cyclones, tornados, and floods. According to the ecologists in our country is facing the possible threat of being engulfed by sea in the near future.

An area full of trees looks so visually appealing that it helps us beat our stress levels and the fresh air around the trees energizes us. Also, the importance of tree plantation is that children love to play around them and it gives boost the outdoor activities of children, giving them a healthy life. One of the most talked-about the importance of tree plantation is that they protect us from the sun and provide the elders with a sitting ground for them to relax under their shade.
Tree plantation is the only way through which we can recover from our mistakes which have been done by deforestation. And, it also fulfills our basic needs and making Earth a better place to live. Trees should be planted on the banks of ponds and darns, on the both sides of roads, highways, rail lines, embankments and barrages. Trees should be planted on any fallow land near our houses, schools and offices. June and July are the proper time for tree plantation. With a view to making the tree plantation program successful. Public awareness must be raised, illiteracy must be wiped out and population explosion must be controlled.
Government has started issuing funds, required equipments for tree plantation and has also made it a target to plant more trees in those areas which needs this the most. A rapid growth is also seen through the increasing number of campaigns which educate people about the importance of tree plantation and compels them to contribute towards saving the Earth. Still much more plantation can be done. There are a lot of areas which is suffering from early fall. This can only be done by the local people.

We are the citizens of an independent country. It is our sacred duty to contribute to the country’s development every possible way. In order to maintain a good harmony between man and nature we must plant more and more trees. If we don’t stop the cutting down of trees and the burning down of forests, our existence will become impossible on earth. So we should stop the cutting down of trees and destruction of forest for our greater interest.
