Basic purpose of this lecture is to present on Special Theory of Relativity (STR). In physics, Special Theory of Relativity is the generally accepted and experimentally well confirmed physical theory regarding the relationship between space and time. Basic Principles: the speed of light is the same to all observers and the laws of physics are the same to all observers. Observable Consequences: Simultaneity is a relative concept; The apparent mass (inertia) of an object increases as its speed increases (impossible to accelerate it up to c).
