Basic purpose of this lecture is to present on changes in the Central Business District. A Central Business District is the commercial and business centre of a city. In larger cities, it is often synonymous with the city’s “financial district. This lecture briefly focus on what CBD’s used to be like and why shops located there; the problems for British town centres and why out of town shopping centres grew and their problems. Finally explain why have shops traditionally located in town centres.
