The particular formats of RAW file vary greatly between different manufacturers. There are only two varieties of RAW images, specifically, virtually lossless and uncompressed. Uncompressed pictures are, as your name suggests, not compressed in any respect. These have excellent quality, but file size is obviously substantial. The two varieties of RAW file will be identified by several image editing computer applications, if there was uniformity in the file extensions.
