Basic objective of this lecture is to present on How Do We Predict Weather. Since air masses interact in a relatively predictable way, meteorologists are able to predict weather patterns with some degree of accuracy. Dozens of satellites keep a constant watch over the earth each day. Some are geosynchronous (stay in the same position over the earth) while others orbit around the earth.
