The phosphorus cycle is the biogeochemical cycle that describes the motion of phosphorus with the lithosphere, hydrosphere, along with biosphere. Unlike several biogeochemical cycles, the atmosphere will not play a significant role within the movement of phosphorus, because phosphorus along with phosphorus-based compounds tend to be solids at the common ranges of heat and pressure found on Earth.
