Shoplifting, also recognized as petty theft shoplifting, is defined as the offense of taking goods without any purpose of paying for them. For years, this offense has departed without much action, unless the objects stolen were worth an important amount of money. In recent years, however, with the financial system in such turmoil, business owners have urbanized a novel approach towards theft, and desire to create a lesson to the thieves whenever they can.
