A very Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening (Ladies and Gentlemen) to Honorable Principal Sir/Madam, respected teachers, parents, seniors, and my dear friends/students, Warm Greetings to Everyone!
Thank you all for taking out time and being present at this seminar session. Today, we are here to discuss about, ‘Value of Education.’
Ladies and gentlemen, we all know that education is a basic human right. Education is extremely important for the practice of all other human rights. It gives everybody the opportunity to be free and empowered. Education entails mastering or researching established information and cultural heritage, as well as contributing to it by refining the growth of existing technology and passing it on to the next generation in a pre-planned manner that can be used to create a flourishing future. Education is the most important vehicle for economically and socially disadvantaged adults and children to rise above poverty. It is the bedrock of our culture.
Education aids in the stimulation of our minds and the creation of intellectuals from curious minds. Education is the process of advancing one’s intellect to the next level. It allows us to have a better understanding of the world we live in. It is at the heart of everything we do. Education is what dispels our doubts and fears; it is what makes us safe and peaceful; it is what transforms us into better people. The teacher appears, dispels the gloom, and we are struck by how amazing this world is. What we have observed, either through instructions or observation, has shaped our actions and perception. Education is a stepping stone that can lead us to greater heights. We cannot contribute to the world or earn money without education and information.
Human beings have accomplished a great deal since the beginning of time, and it would be a shame to lose all of them. The only way to preserve the accomplishments is to transfer the skills and technology we have by educating others so that they can reap the benefits of their forefathers’ efforts. When used properly, education is obviously a very useful method. We will inspire our children and lift them out of poverty by providing them with a good education. Education is the one thing that will stay with them for the rest of their lives and will aid in their development as individuals.
The importance of education allows us to realize what we are capable of and to go the extra mile. It is much greater than words can say. It aids in the removal of dirt from our minds, as well as doubts and worries that might lead us down the wrong path. It contributes to our happiness and success, as well as our improvement as human beings. The light of education dispels the gloom, and we are instantly aware of how lovely the world is. The education system can be divided into three categories: formal, informal, and non-formal education. Formal education refers to the knowledge we gain from kindergarten, colleges, or universities. Informal schooling is what we acquire as a result of our life experiences. It does not adhere to any set path or timetable.
Learning of informal Education never ends, and we continue to learn throughout our lives. Community education, adult education, continuing education, and second-chance education are all concepts that are often used to replace the word non-formal education. Training isn’t all about reading books and doing well on exams; it’s also about putting what you’ve learned into practice. We shouldn’t transform our students into robots that just learn what we teach them in class and don’t try something new on their own. We need to expose them to other things besides academics, such as dance, singing, painting, poetry writing, sculpting, and so on.
Of course, due to a lack of funding, we may not be able to provide all of these amenities to our students, but we can certainly work for it in some way. Our students will be able to grow their personality on a more holistic level as a result of this. Almost two-thirds (64 percent) of parents around the world agree that being content in life is one of the three most significant things they want their children to accomplish as adults. In developed economies, this target is especially important for parents. Furthermore, education is critical for a country’s jobs. Proper education provides us with many opportunities to improve our lives.
When we see people who have a high-paying career, we understand the importance of jobs. Because of their lack of experience, uneducated people face a significant disadvantage in the job market. Education also plays a part in improving communication. It strengthens and improves a person’s vocabulary. Individuals with a higher level of education are better able to articulate themselves clearly and concisely. Education does not happen on its own; it requires an intermediary who can impart information and point them in the right direction. This is undoubtedly the role of a teacher in our lives, and he or she is the one who comes in as an accomplished individual and assists children in distinguishing between right and wrong.
Of course, it is the parents who serve as the best guides for their children, assisting them in their development as responsible citizens, since bookish experience is insufficient. It is necessary to go further, and when children learn how to live their lives with dignity, behave themselves, be gracious, and treat others, education is considered complete and assumed to have served its purpose. Education’s ideals are based on the dissemination of information in society. Our world is created by the spread of knowledge, and this is perhaps the most important aspect of education. Education fosters advancement and creativity in fields such as technology, medicine, and lifestyle.
Education is a type of wealth that no one can take away from you, but it grows in value as you share it with others. Having said that, it’s important to be completely aware of what we’re sharing with others in the context of information, as we can only share knowledge that benefits individuals and societies, not knowledge that harms them. The more people who receive proper education, the more technology can spread. Aside from that, the importance of education is critical in ensuring a country’s economic and social growth, as well as improving income distribution.
Education is the most important tool you have, so make the most of it. Support others by enlightening them, showing them the difference between right and wrong, and instilling moral values if you are fortunate. Our generation would grow up as human beings if education is founded on morals and ethics and supported by strong moral principles. In the other hand, if schooling is based on self-interest, no one will be able to avoid society’s demise, and anarchy will reign. Most significantly, no natural or man-made catastrophe will ever diminish the importance of education. Education is the only way for a society to progress and for a country to develop as a whole.
This is all I have to say today.
Hope you all have a great time. Thank you all.
