Miscarriage of Justice is a substantial wrong which occurs within a trial which consequently infects the proceedings in respect of merit quashing the results on appeal. A miscarriage of justice primarily may be the conviction and punishment of an person for any crime they wouldn’t commit. The term could also apply to errors inside other direction—”errors of impunity”, and to civil cases.
