Principle objective of this lecture is to present on Maths Inequalities. here briefly describe on Inequality Symbols. < : Less Than; > : Greater Than; < : Less Than or Equal To; > : Greater Than or Equal To; = : Equal To and ≠ : Not Equal To. PEN CIRCLE – is used for <, >, and ≠. This means the number is not included in the solution. (where it starts). CLOSED CIRCLE – is used for <, >, and =. This means the number is included in the soluteon. Example: An inequality such as 3x – 7 < 8 is similar to the equation 3x – 7 = 8.
