Legal Fiction is an assumption that a thing is true although it may be not. Legal fiction is used in judicial reasoning in order to avoid difficulties in the operation of a law, where the situation it governs offers changed but their wording has remained the identical. A legal fiction is usually a fact assumed or developed by courts which is usually then used so that you can apply a legal rule that is not necessarily made to be used in that way.
