Primary purpose of this lecture is to presentation on Foundations of Information Systems. The information system is typically regarded as a set of related elements or components which collect, manipulate, and disseminate (output) data and information and supply a feedback mechanism to fulfill an objective. Here briefly discuss on Characteristics of System, they are: Components, Interrelated Components, Boundary, Purpose, Environment, Interfaces, Input, Output and Constraints. Here also explain Characteristics of Information, they are: Timely, Relevant, Concise, Accurate and Complete.
