Prime objective of this lecture is to present on Infrared Telescopes. Infrared is a certain region in the light spectrum, its ranges from .7µ to 1000µ or .1mm. An infrared telescope is a telescope that uses infrared light to detect celestial bodies. Infrared light is one of several types of radiation present in the electromagnetic spectrum. Infrared telescopes work much like visible light telescopes; light hits parabolic mirror, light is sent to focal point and light is recorded by computer and translated into visible light.
