The term “individual psychology” does not mean to focus on the individual. Alfred Adler stated one must take into account the patient’s whole surroundings, including the people the sufferer associates with. The term “individual” is accustomed to mean the patient is an indivisible whole. Individual psychology is the psychological method as well as science founded through the Viennese psychiatrist Alfred Adler.
