Hybrid nuclear power is usually a proposed means involving generating power by use of a mix of nuclear fusion in addition to fission processes. The basic idea is with high-energy fast neutrons from the fusion reactor to trigger fission with otherwise nonfissile energizes like U-238 and Th-232. Each neutron could trigger several fission functions, multiplying the energy released by every fusion reaction countless times.
