With cryptography, a brute-force attack, or exhaustive critical search, is a cryptanalytic attack that could, in theory, be used against any encrypted facts. Brute-force attacks could be made less efficient by obfuscating the info to be encoded, something that makes it more difficult a great attacker to recognize once the code has recently been cracked.
