Annual Report 2015-2016 of Wipro Limited

It is a broadly described annual report of Wipro Limited in the year of 2015-2016. The Company’s income taxes increased by Rs. 681 million from Rs. 24,624 million for the year ended 31^st March 2015 to Rs. 25,305 million for the year ended 31^st March 2016. During the financial year, The Company’s sales increased to Rs. 512,478 million for the current year as against Rs. 469,510 million in the previous year, recording a growth of 9.15%. The company’s profits increased to Rs. 89,597 million for the current year as against Rs. 86,609 million in the previous year, recording a growth of 3.45%. During the year 2015-16, the Company allotted 16,70,252 equity shares of Rs. 2/- each pursuant to exercise of stock options. Consequently, the paid up equity share capital of the Company stood at Rs. 4,94,14,26,580 consisting of 2,47,07,13,290 equity shares of Rs. 2/- each.

The Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of Rs.1/- per equity share of face value of Rs.2/- each to be appropriated from the profits of the Company for the financial year 2015-16, subject to the approval of the shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting. The total dividend for the year ended 31^st March 2016 would accordingly be Rs.6/- per equity share of face value of Rs.2/- each.
